Summary of Job Description

The Director of Finance and Business Services is responsible for providing oversight of the Finance and Business Services Departments at the direction of the CEO. Responsible for overseeing organizational operations, including finance, facilities, legal, and information technology. Provides the Board of Directors and employees with relevant financial data necessary for budgetary and financial decisions. Oversees general office management functions to ensure an effective, high-quality work environment and the efficient daily operations of the facility and equipment, including the organization’s Information Technology infrastructure.

A typical day for this position will be collaborating with leadership to support goals, supporting the team as they run the day-to-day operations, and attending internal and external meetings.

This is a full-time position with a typical schedule working M-F 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be some flexibility to work remotely one or two days per week after an initial period to allow for connection with the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be passionate about being part of something bigger than a paycheck and leading a team to support our mission.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration; OR five years of work experience as CFO, Controller or Finance Officer.
  • Three years of experience providing senior-level Finance leadership for an organization with multiple programs and revenue sources, including grants.
  • Three years of experience managing an organization’s IT department and facilities.
  • Proficient with computers, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and/or Certified Public Accountant.
  • Experience in a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience working with and supervising people with disabilities desirable.

Pay Range: $85,000 to $110,000 per year
