A Heartfelt Thank You for Taking Action!

Dear NCIL Members, CILs, and SILCs,

Yesterday, we put out a call to protect Independent Living funding, and you answered—loudly and powerfully. Over 3,500 messages and stories were sent to Congress, making it clear that freezing federal programs is not an option for our community.

Your voices matter. Your advocacy makes a difference. Because of your swift action, we are stronger and more united in the fight to protect the funding that sustains the Independent Living movement.

On behalf of NCIL, I want to personally thank each and every one of you for your dedication, your passion, and your commitment to ensuring that people with disabilities have the resources and support they need to live independently. This is what collective power looks like, and we will keep pushing forward—together.

But our work is not done. We will call on you again because there is still unfinished business, and we need to keep up the fight. When we stand together, we make change happen.
