Housing Subcommittee

Chair: Gloria Garton

NCIL’s Housing Subcommittee strives to promote the principles of affordable, accessible, healthy / nontoxic, decent, safe, and integrated housing for persons with disabilities. This subcommittee works with NCIL staff to communicate with legislators, other organizations, and participate in collaborative efforts to further our goals.

We are currently seeking new members with a wide range of expertise. We are interested in NCIL individual members with knowledge in federal housing programs, fair housing, the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, the Community Reinvestment Act, etc.

In the upcoming months, we hope to create a series of simple “best practices” guides to assist advocates on various housing issues.
