About NCIL’s New Logo

Logo: National Council on Independent Living. Graphic features a multi-colored finger print.

Dear NCIL members, partners, friends, and allies,

We are pleased to announce the release NCIL’s new logo.

The logo features five curved lines in yellow, deep purple, magenta, cyan, and olive green that form a graphic finger print. The text “National Council on Independent Living” is presented to the right of the fingerprint icon in a bold sans serif font for readability and so that the logo can be scaled to work in varying projects.

In the simplest terms, NCIL’s new logo represents the human touch our community brings to the important work we do.

Fingerprints are unique. The fingerprint here speaks to our uniqueness both as individuals and as organizations.

The colors in the logo speak to the beautiful diversity of our community.

Lastly, it reminds us that consumer control is at the heart of everything we do. Consumer control is not just what sets us apart from other organizations, it’s what gives us the expertise to speak from experience and the ability to boldly imagine and create a future that accommodates and welcomes all of us.

Like this logo, our community is strong, bold, beautiful, and creative. We hope you love it as much as we do.

The rollout of the new logo will take place over the coming months.

NCIL has been working on a complete redesign of our website and we hope to launch it no later than October 2024.

In the meantime, we’ll be integrating the new logo into our existing materials and it will be featured heavily at this year’s Annual Conference on Independent Living. #NCIL2024
