The NCIL Housing subcommittee strives to promote the principles of affordable, accessible, healthy/nontoxic, decent, safe and integrated housing for persons with disabilities. The subcommittee works with the NCIL staff person to communicate with legislators, other organizations, and participate in collaborative efforts to further our goals.
We are currently seeking new members with a wide range of expertise. We are interested in NCIL individual members with knowledge in federal housing programs, fair housing, Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, Community Reinvestment Act, etc.
In the upcoming months, we hope to create a series of simple “best practices” guides to assist advocates around the nation on various housing issues.
