Options Interstate Resource Center for Independent Living has a Program Manager Position open. The Program Manager is responsible for working closely with the Executive Director and staff to operationalize the overall program’s vision and ensure quality programs are delivered to people with disabilities with staff deliverables fulfilled. This is accomplished by providing oversight over the organizations day-to-day operations. The position ensures staff have the training, material resources and business infrastructure needed to complete the work. Options serves 12 counties of northwest Minnesota and 14 counties of northeast North Dakota and is funded through Federal grants, State grants, and Contracts with minimal fee for service. Currently Options is budgeted for twenty-two staff members.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or Social Services, with related field with coursework in human resources and management preferred.
  • Three years’ leadership/managerial experience to include experience managing multiple programs and supervision of staff.
  • Experience working with and supervising people with disabilities desirable.
  • Knowledge of the IL Movement and Philosophy.
  • Ability to travel within Options 26 county service area on a regular basis and statewide on a less frequent basis to fulfill duties.
  • Proficient with computers, including Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom.
  • Knowledge of human service resources and disability rights legislation to coordinate and implement services.
  • Passion for seeing individuals with disabilities make their own choices and becoming more independent in the community of their choice.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, disabilities and age groups.
  • Motivated and able to work independently as well as with the Center’s team.
  • Excellent people, communication, organizational, computer skills, dependability, superior work ethic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as the job necessitates.
  • Ability to complete reports/documentation in a professional and timely manner.
